Welcome to Ysgogi (pronounced Us-gog-ee). Ysgogi is a Welsh word that can have many meanings.
To move, to stir, to stimulate, to actuate, to animate, to incentivise, to urge, to motivate, to inspire, to agitate.
Hi I'm Andrew, this is my blog or my 'home on the web'.
I'm currently learning Welsh which is why I wanted to use a Welsh word for my blog name. The word Ysgogi, with it's many meanings caught my eye. I would hope that the content that I post here, will live up to some of those meanings. One day I would hope that I can make some posts actually in the Welsh language, but until then I'll keep it in English.
What to expect?
What can you expect here? Well I'm passionate about many things; music, guitars, travel, writing, football and pro wrestling to name but a few things.
Why start a blog in 2025?
Why indeed? I could resurrect my old Tumblr but it seems like most people deserted Tumblr many years ago. I used to use Twitter/X but not anymore. I've never been a fan of Instagram, and I'm not on Facebook. Starting a blog is almost nostalgic at this point! "Back in my day, we had internet forums, MSN Messenger, MySpace and LiveJournal". Yes I'm 38 years old.
My hope is to get back into writing, I would say that I am a creative person and over the years I have dabbled in web design, creative writing and music.
